The management team of PEManagers Group is comprised of experts with years of experience confirmed by a track record in the area of investment funds.

The core investment team is made up of the Management Board and the Partners, who, taken together, ensure a unique combination of long-term experience and knowledge in finance and investments as well as individual sectors, industries and geographies where the assets of investment funds managed by PEManagers Group can be invested.

Objective

Fund managers at PEManagers Group aim to increase the value of their portfolio companies to generate considerable profits upon resale.

Exits are usually scheduled 3 to 7 years after acquisition.

Key investment profitability indicators are IRR and money multiple.

  • Holder of M.Sc. in Enterprise Management from the Wrocław School of Economics. He also completed a post-graduate management course at the Warsaw School of Economics and obtained the Master of Business Administration title from the University of Minnesota.
  • Entrepreneur since 1985. For the past 20 years, Venture Capital/Private Equity investor, founder and Group Managing Partner @ MCI Capital – one of the leading European private equity groups with focus on technology and digitalization. In 1990-1998 Co-founder and CEO of JTT Computer SA – leading CE computer manufacturer with USD 100M+ revenue.
  • Selected as one of Top-20 best Polish managers in 2015 by Bloomberg Business Week. Guest speaker at many PE/VC conferences, including NOAH. Supervisory board member and advisory board member of many of MCI funds portfolio companies across Europe. In 2001 the World Economic Forum awarded Tomasz Czechowicz with the title of Global Leader for Tomorrow for his exceptional feeling for the market, professionalism, vision and business efficacy. In 2000 one of the TOP-10 most influential people in the European Internet by Business Week.

  • Vice President of the Management Board and CEO at PEManagers
  • She acquired professional experience as a Partner and Director of the Warsaw branch of PKF Consult Sp. z o.o. (former PKF Audyt Sp. z o.o.) and as a manager at KPMG Audyt Sp. z o.o., an audit firm.
  • Following her employment at PKF Consult and KPMG, she worked as a self-employed auditor.
  • Since 2009, she has been a certified statutory auditor.

Specialization: Finance management
  • Certified Financial Risk Manager (FRM) with over 12-years experience in corporate finance, banking, risk management, financial modeling and transaction structuring. Expertise in financial services, fintech, agriculture, healthcare and e-commerce.
  • Graduated from the Faculty of Economic Sciences and Management of the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń in Financial Management and Accounting.
  • He started his career at KPMG, on a team responsible for audits of banks and financial institutions. From 2004 to 2010, he worked at the Controlling and Management Information Department of mBank S.A. In 2010, he joined the team of KGHM TFI S.A. as a Financial Controller. From 2011 to 2014 he was engaged by PKO BP BANKOWY PTE S.A., where he was responsible for the assessment and management of investment and operational risk and he was a member of the investment committee.

  • He performs the function of Partner and manages the fund Internet Ventures FIZ.
  • He worked for LinkedIn in California, where he was responsible for the creation of the competition strategy on the European market.
  •  From 2002 to 2005 and from 2007 to 2012, he was employed at McKinsey & Company, where, as Engagement Manager, he was in charge of the implementation of strategic and investment projects (including M&A) for top European companies focused on telecommunications and media, but also for leading power industry, fuel sector, FMCG and Private Equity players.
  •  In 2012, he took the function of Managing Director at Rocket Internet CEE, the world’s largest e-commerce project incubator, where he was responsible for the identification of new investments, raising capital, establishing new start-ups and development of Rocket’s portfolio of growth-stage companies.

  • He graduated in Finance and Banking from the Warsaw School of Economics. He completed doctoral studies at the Collegium of Management and Finance of the Warsaw School of Economics.
  • He has acquired professional experience in Deloitte, Orange Polska S.A. and most recently at CAG Sp. z o.o. Sp.k., where he was responsible for private and public deals in the sectors of telecommunications, internet, e-commerce, distribution, retail, infrastructure, industry, food, renewable energy.

  • 10-year professional experience in private equity and investment banking in Warsaw and London. He has worked for such renowned institutions as Citigroup, Penta Investments, and CAG, and presently is working for MCI Capital/Private Equity Managers.
  • During his professional career he has been involved in over 20 investment projects, both on the buy-side and the sell-side (as the owner or an advisor). The major transactions that he has taken part in are as follows: the take-over of 100% of the shares of Mobiltek/Dotpay and 51% of the shares of eCard, the investment in and then – the disposal of non-controlling interest in Netia, the preparation and the disposal of the shares of Mediasoft Polska (eBroker) and other projects attended by such companies as Bakalland, MK Żary, Promedica24 and the Iglokrak Group.
  • Manages Helix Ventures Partners fund and is in charge of investment projects at the MCI.EuroVentures 1.0 fund.

Wojtek joined MCI in early 2017 as an Investment Director. At MCI he is focusing on early and growth stage investments mainly in the areas of FinTech, marketplace, SaaS and e-commerce. Prior to joining MCI Wojtek worked nearly 6 years at McKinsey & Company, lately as an Engagement Manager, where he managed or performed over 30 strategy, digital and investment studies in telecommunications, financial and retail industries. Before McKinsey, he worked at KPMG in Zurich (Transaction Services) and Credit Suisse in London (Investment Banking, M&A). Wojtek holds an MBA degree from Harvard Business School, M.Sc. in Management and Finance from the Poznan University of Economics and he also studied International Business at ESCP-EAP in London.

  • Michał has 12 years of professional experience in venture capital/private equity, investment banking and management consulting. In MCI since 2015 working for the early growth phase VC fund Internet Ventures, running transactions, but first of all performing portfolio management and helping portfolio companies grow.
  • Before joining MCI worked for McKinsey & Company as Implementation Manager, where he was responsible for implementation of key strategic initiatives in the largest corporate clients. Transactional and advisory experience he gained also in Azimutus and PwC where he performed more than 50 projects, both buy-side and sell-side advisory, and management consulting (inter alia strategy creation, verification and implementation as well as improvement of sales and customer service).

  • Sylwester has 20 years of experience in venture capital investments, strategic management and new business development. During his 7 years with MCI Capital Group, he completed a number of investment projects and exits, as well as successful fundraising of new fund managed by MCI (Internet Ventures Fund).
  • Sylwester holds an MBA in Strategic Management of Technology and e-Business from Cass Business School in London, UK, and a Master degree in Economics from Gdańsk University, Poland.
