In terms of the value of public offerings of shares, the first half of the year seems to be better for the Warsaw Stock Exchange than the previous years. Statistics show that a majority of IPOs took place in April and May. Public offerings have not been scarce, neither, in the recent months. However, the investors involved could not rely on equally strong rises on the first session as they saw in the case of Private Equity Managers, whose stocks yielded a 19 percent gain at the end of the first trading day.
Companies are already announcing further IPOs. This year, we are waiting for Bank Pocztowy, AAT or InPost to go public. The Polish Financial Supervision Authority informs that it is currently reviewing 16 prospectuses from potential debutants.
